Linux is becomming quite popular but faster hardware is always needed.
I propose that the best price/preformance platform is the Ninento 64
which can be purchased for under $200. It includes a 64 bit processor
that runs at least as fast as a 200 Mhz Pentium. It has a better
memory archatecture and fast I/O as well as a being expanable at
low cost.
